Species Information

Shell minute, subcylindrical-ovate, brown, with close, threadlike riblets; aperture with 4 denticles; apertural lip thin, flared; crest absent.

Habitat


Entirely arboreal, or nearly so, this species is nearly always found on the trunks of Bigleaf Maples. Occasional individuals that are encountered in forest-floor leaf litter are presumed to have become dislodged and fallen to the ground.

Distribution


Global range: Western North America, from BC to California. BC Range: Sunshine Coast, Vancouver Island, and the Southern Gulf Islands.
